Bill Withers ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ Cover & Multitracks – Roswell K47x and K67x Mic Review

Today we are reviewing the Roswell K47x and K67x Microphones and what better way to do so than with a really awesome cover of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine!

It was a pleasure to record vocalist McKail Seely, Bassist Clark Sims, Drummer Blair Sinta, and Michael Humpgries (FutureSelf) on Electric Guitar.

What made this cover so unique was that we didn’t have to do much to the mix at all! But whats more is that we want you to download the multitracks and mix it for yourself!

Don’t forget that we are also giving away the pair of Roswell Microphones, so you can win both the K47x or the K67x Microphones! Details below!

More about Roswell Mics

Roswell carefully studied, tested and documented so many mics on the the market, leading to a deep understanding of microphone anatomy.

This allows them to design microphones that provide a distinctive sound and a level of performance normally associated with far more expensive products.

Mini K47x

  • Midrange detail from the K47 capsule
  • Tube-like harmonic saturation from the transformer circuit
  • Includes our Cutaway shockmount and flight case

The Mini K47x provides a unique and compelling combination of the attributes of our two most popular microphones, while retaining the “point and shoot” simplicity of the Mini K mic family.

On quiet sources, the K47x would sound much like the Mini K47. On moderate to louder sources, the K47x circuit will be pushed into gentle saturation, which adds harmonic complexity and richness to the sound of the mic. Simultaneously, sharp transients in the source will be slightly rounded and softened, giving the K47x a a sound that evokes classic European tube microphones.

Mini K67x

The “X” stands for transformer.

  • Unique, wideband frequency response with extended “air”
  • Harmonic saturation from transformer-coupled circuit
  • Includes our Cutaway shockmount and flight case
  • In stock for immediate shipment

The Mini K67x expands the promise of “sonic diversity” by introducing a new sound to the Mini K product line. The capsule voicing strikes a balance between neutrality and flattery, with tight bass and an open top end. The circuit enhances the source with harmonics. The mic retains the “point and shoot” simplicity of the Mini K lineup.
