Over the last 6 or 7 years, Marc has put a huge focus on his monitoring setup. This stems back to trying to always achieve the best sound that he can get! You may think that translation would be just as easy as putting up a bunch of acoustic panels and a great set of speakers, but it is not!
When Marc first entered the audio world, gear – as in consoles, preamps, microphones, compressors, etc. – were his first priority, but he realized that what you hear and how you hear are way more important. He actually ended up selling some of the gear he had bought in order to buy his first set of monitors.
Marc has a couple of tricks he wants to share for making sure you have the best monitor setup possible.
