The Gullfoss plugin listens to a signal and decides how to prepare the audio so you can get the most information out of it. It allows you to analyze the audio and make quick and precise fixes that would otherwise be unsolvable or take huge amounts of time and experience to find.

What we are going to be doing today is using the Gullfoss plugin as an analysis tool on a mix. This is a mix of “Golden” by We Were Astronauts, that I started on a live stream a few days ago, so we will be mixing a little more today. The idea of the Gullfoss plugin is to use the things that you are learning from looking at the Gullfoss EQ curves in order to fix issues in your mix. This is something that I really love about this plugin! By using this as an analysis tool, I was able to focus in on areas where I was seeing huge cuts and huge boosts and fix those issues quickly and easily. This is a tool that can help you create better mixes by helping you see issues you may not have been able to find on your own, or at least help you identify them more quickly!
