FAQ Friday: Should you buy more guitars and Melodyne in Pro Tools?

For this FAQ Friday, we answer the often asked question: “How many Guitars, Basses, and Amps do you think would make for a well rounded studio?” We are also excited to have Matt Lange taking us through Pro Tools with their new integration with Melodyne!

Melodyne is a fantastic tool that allows you to adjust pitch, vibrato, volume, sibilants, note length, and timing. A lot of engineers use Melodyne every day for tasks such as rapid voice tuning, harmony creation, instrument revoicing, rhythm timing correction, and many more. This has been one of the most requested integrations for Pro Tools.

Today’s video will take you through what you need for a well-rounded studio from guitars to amps. Then Matt our friend Matt Lange will go into Pro Tools integration with Melodyne and why it is such a versatile and sought-after tool!

Matt Lange is a producer and DJ based in LA. He has been involved with soundtracks for movies like Blade Rinner 2049 and Ready Player One. He has gained attention for his usage of isorhythms and modular synthesis in his musical compositions. Early in his career, Lange produced progressive house and deep house music before switching to techno production in 2015. Lange has also established his own label, Isorhythm, in 2011. Ephemera, his debut studio album, was released through Mau5trap in 2015; it was followed by Isolated in 2020.
