CLO is an artist that we have been working with and developing over the past couple of years. CLO is a very talented singer and songwriter, and it has been so amazing to work with her and watch her grow and develop her skills since we have started working together. She released her first single “Blackout” a few months ago, and now she has released her second!
CLO just released her amazing new single “Sliding Doors (There You Are)”. CLO says about the new single, “‘Sliding Doors’ is about having that burning desire for someone who you know deep down isn’t right for you. No matter how many times you try to convince yourself that it can’t work, you still end up right back together. The passion and love is so strong that it masks the real problems at the core of the relationship and the reality that this love will never work. Like in the bridge when I sing ‘We’re walking on a wire, but our feet are getting tired, keep trying to take it higher, but we always fall down’ shows the cycle of this troubled yet passionate relationship but then I end the song with ‘There you are.’ He’s always there, almost like my endgame love, my twin-flame. This song is so massive. I absolutely love the way it builds and the energy is just as intense as the love and lust encaptured in lyrics.”
“Sliding Doors” was mixed by the amazing Mark Endert. From the early 1990s to now, Endert has been credited on tons of albums that span a variety of musical genres. He has worked with incredible artists including Madonna, Maroon 5, The Fray, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and many more. He has been nominated for numerous Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year nominations for Madonna’s Ray of Light and Sara Bareilles’s The Blessed Unrest.
This track also features composer/arranger Daniel Coe on strings. Coe has prepared music for many major Hollywood films including Joker, Smallfoot, Star Trek Beyond, and many more. He has also worked with Aerosmith. He says Jack Douglas threw him into the fire as an intern and asked him to provide sweetening to their 2012 album Music from Another Dimension.
Recorded at Spitfire Studios, “Sliding Doors” was written by Warren Huart (The Fray Colbie Caillat), Lee Anna McCollum, Nazerine Henderson, and CLO. This single follows her recent release “Blackout” and once again showcases the talent of this emerging singer/songwriter, and the incredible team of people she is working with.
