The Fortin Nameless Amp Sim (Review & Demo)

A lot of people have been talking about this, and we’re going to mention it! It’s the Neural DSP Fortin Nameless! People are freaking out about this! I’m not a metal guy, although I do work with some rock & heavier rock bands (Aerosmith, Ace Frehley, Black Veil Brides, etc).

Today’s video is me having fun and checking out this amazing plugin! The Fortin Nameless has a ton of variations but we’re also going to add our own IRs as well! The IRs that we add can be found in my producer pack from Lancaster Audio.

Neural DSP is an audio technology startup based in Helsinki, Finland.

For the Fortin Nameless they partnered up with legendary amplifier designer Mike Fortin, who is the mastermind of some of the most sought after brutal amplifiers in recent history, to finally bring an amplifier model that he would be proud of (Mike has a notorious disdain for digital simulations).

After many months of developing and model that replicated not just the sonic characteristics of his amplifier, but also the dynamic response and feel of a physical tube head the Fortin Nameless Suite was born.

What I’m really loving about plugins and this world now, is that the technology is getting better and better and the plugins sounding absolutely incredible. I can basically plug it in and get amazing tones- I don’t have to spend a ton of time setting up, which can sometimes take away from an inspirational moment!

Our good friend, Glenn Fricker, also did a review of the Fortin Nameless using his custom Lancaster Audio IR producer pack as well!
