To test out God Mode, I will be using the plugin on a song from a band we have been working with over the past few days. The kick sound on the track does not sound great at the moment, so I am going to use this plugin to see if I can shape it, saturate it, and distort it to make it sound better!

This saturation plugin came across as very musical and tunable because it has three different types of saturation: tape, warp, and buzz. What I love about Denise Audio’s plugins is not only do they sound great, but they are also super functional. Each of these settings is placed right up front so I can see exactly what I have to work with and get started.

God Mode sounded great on the drum sounds and bass guitar that I used it on. There are tons of fun settings and sounds available within this plugin, and it really helped to enhance the tracks we had recorded and give them that awesome rock and roll sounded I wanted!

I get the feeling this plugin was designed specifically for what we’re using it for: as a musical tool to get in there and really help you mix. God Mode allows you to do more than just decide if you want it to be bright or dark, it is about picking certain frequencies and pushing and pulling them to create the exact sound you want. When we used this on the kick drum and the bass guitar, we were able to actually use it to shape the EQ and saturate it at the same time.
