Maria Ayerbe is Grammy nominated audio engineer with more than 13 years of experience in recording, mixing, music production, and audio post production.
Born and raised in Colombia, Maria knew she wanted to be an audio engineer by the time she graduated high school. She attended audio school in Chile, where she began her career. Then, about 3 years later, she decided she wanted to go to music school and take it from the start, so she found a university in Colombia that offered a music degree with a focus on audio engineering as well, so she went to study there.
Since then, Maria has had a very successful audio engineering career. She has worked for a variety of artists, producers, studios, and record labels in Miami, Nashville, and South America. The incredible artists she has worked with include Mary J Blige, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Juanes, Natti Natasha, and many other music legends in genres like pop, Latin pop, Latin Urban, Reggeton, and everything in between!
She is recognized as one of the most important female audio engineers within the Latin music industry, and in 2019, she was named a Leading Lady of Entertainment by the Latin Recording Academy.
