Hard Rock/Metal Producer and Musician Matt Good

Matt Good

Matt Good is a guitarist, vocalist, and producer, perhaps best known for playing guitar and singing in post-hardcore band From First to Last. As a producer, he’s worked with tons of contemporary rock/metal bands like Asking Alexandria, Sleeping with Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Hollywood Undead, The Word Alive, Veil of Maya, Nekrogoblikon, and many others!

He currently runs his own studio in Tempe, Arizona called Good Sounds where he produces, mixes, and masters a variety of full-length albums and EPs.

From First to Last

Matt co-founded From First to Last alongside his early bandmates in Tampa, Florida in 1999. To this day, he has been the only constant member of the band which has included a number of talented musicians throughout the years like Sonny Moore (Skrillex) and Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo. Even Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland did a short stint with the group playing bass.

The band put out their first EP Aesthetic in 2003, which they recorded with founding member and vocalist Phillip Reardon who left the band in 2004 due to personal and creative differences. Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count followed in 2004 and Heroine in 2006, both with Moore handling lead vocals.

After Moore left in early 2007 to work on his Skrillex project, the band added bassist Matt Manning, and Good moved to lead vocals/guitar. They released their third self-titled studio album in 2008 and their fourth record, Throne to the Wolves, in 2010 before entering a three-year hiatus.

After a few years of silence, From First to Last reformed in late 2013 with Periphery vocalist Spencer Sotelo as the new lead singer. They released their fifth album after reforming, Dead Trees, in 2015. Sotelo left the band the following year, and former vocalist Sonny Moore rejoined them in January 2017. They are currently working on their sixth studio album.
