I’m excited to sit down with the incredibly talented Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen from Lurssen Mastering. I’ve been blessed to work with Lurssen in the past and in my opinion they are doing some of the finest analogue mastering work out there. Their credit list seems endless and they’ve won five Grammys!
At their studio Lurssen Mastering in Burbank, a vast variety of genres is being mastered every day, from Orchestral to Jazz, Rock, Pop, EDM and HipHop. And they’ve refined their processing chains for each style over many years of trial and error.

The Lurssen Mastering Console can be used as a standalone plugin on your Iphone or tablet, also use it in any DAW. That means you can take you masters to the car, boombox, HIFi system or clubs and make adjustments to your sound in the real world! What an amazing idea!
I have to admit I was very impressed by the performance of this plugin. It preserves the integrity of the music while making it louder, fuller and more impactful. Even if you are not planning on using it as your final mastering stage, it’s a great way to get a quick sweet-sounding master to send to your clients or the label.
