Building A Studio: Interfaces For Any Budget

Today we have part FIVE of our Building A New Studio series, where we are turning a small children’s bedroom into a studio! Check out Part 1 to 4 here

The hardest part so far out of all of this has been deciding what computer to be using in this studio. I have not had a brand new computer since 2009 and every other laptop or computer we have had at Produce Like A Pro has been second-hand at best! But of course, we had to stick to what we knew best and that was to run an Apple system.

We finally got all the interfaces too! Our essential three interfaces are for you to check out on ANY budget.

  1. Entry Level: 1 to 2 inputs, inexpensive
Audient EVO 4 USB Audio Interface [watch our EVO Interface review here]
  2. Medium Level: 2 inputs, comes with plugins or software
    UAD Apollo Twin Audio Interface
  3. Higher Level: multiple inputs, comes with plugins or software, and high quality
PreSonus Quantum 26×32 Thunderbolt 2 Audio Interface

We are so excited because our goal for this room is to be able to test out and interchange different speakers, interfaces, etc. so that we can see what combinations work best for different price points.
