JZ Microphones Black Hole BH1s Demo & Giveaway

JZ MICS BH1S-1

Hello everybody! We have something quite exciting today!

We’ve got a nice little present here from JZ Microphones. They sent us a Black Hole BH1s microphone to try and they have rather generously given us one to give away!

The best thing about this episode is you can enter to win a Black Hole Bh1s (Scroll up to enter!)

Our good friend David from the Workday Release is going to do a review with me. David is going to sing the song so you don’t have to listen to me – victory!

He’s going to play some guitar, maybe we will get him to play some drums and maybe even some Piano.

I’m rather excited by this, I have seen this in many studios of people I respect. The “BH” stands for Black Hole because there is a hole in the microphone. Opening the box I’m immediately impressed, it’s packaged in a wooden case with a magnetic closure.– It’s rather gorgeous!

Let’s put this rather beautiful looking microphone through its paces.

I feel like the mic faired pretty darn well, obviously fantastic on vocal, Fun to do on the drums and just use it on kick only then snare. Normally we do a mono mic but David wanted to do something super simple on this song. There is nothing better than having a mono mic on a snare pulled back so that it picks up the whole sound of the snare. It’s a luxury you don’t often get except when you do something like this.

Thank you JZ Microphones for letting us try out this beautiful mic!
