1. LEWITT LCT 440 PURE Condenser Microphone
The 440 PURE is one of the most popular LEWITT models. A true studio all-arounder, it has a sound that’s modern and clear, but it doesn’t get overly bright like many condensers in the same price range. It features a 1″ true condenser capsule with a fixed cardioid polar pattern and sounds great on just about anything. The LCT 640 TS is the definition of a next-generation microphone. On a basic level, it’s a 1″ multi-pattern condenser. The sound is full, crisp, and balanced. That isn’t just all, of course. It features a Dual Output Mode which engages both the front and back sides of the capsule’s diaphragm and sends them to independent outputs. This makes stereo recording a breeze; just turn the mic sideways to the source with Dual Output Mode on.
Last but not least, you can actually change the polar pattern after recording. Whatever you recorded in Dual Output, you can load a LEWITT plugin called Polarizer on the track to dynamically change the pickup pattern.
