As musicians we take joy in our art, as engineers we need to be able to find joy in the tools that we use. We need to enjoy the process as much as we enjoy the final product.
And we’re lucky! There is no better time to make music that RIGHT NOW. We have a ton of great sounding and affordable equipment on hand thanks to modern technology.
But of course it isn’t as simple as buying an interface and a mic, and hitting the record button.
Often, the technical difficulties of learning how to properly and efficiently use your DAW can rob you of the satisfaction and the inspiration you gain from making music. Having to deal with technicalities and having to figure things out for many hours when producing songs can totally kill our creative flow.
