Today we have part NINE of our Building A New Studio series, where we are turning a small children’s bedroom into a studio! Check out Part 1 to 9 here

In the last episode, we checked out microphones. Today, we are talking about MY FAVOURITE PLUGINS.

These are plugins that many will know I have always been using but some I have recently discovered and I know that I won’t be able to stop using them.

Check out the video above to learn more but is my definitive list for plugins in 2022.

➡️➡️ WAVES R BASS: https://imp.i114863.net/e4KV3O
The Waves Renaissance Bass Native bass-enhancement plug-in is a simple and fast way to add the perception of deep bass to your audio. Engineers at Sweetwater recommend it for making sure the low end of your recordings comes across on smaller speaker systems. Renaissance Bass uses Waves’ MaxxBass technology to add harmonics to your audio signal that create the effect of deep bass, without actually adding low-frequency content to your mix. The result? Thick, solid bass that extends up to 1.5 octaves below the actual bass frequency of your audio. Whether you’re mixing music, or doing sound design for video, you’ll love the flexibility and power provided by the Waves Renaissance Bass Native bass-enhancement plug-in.

➡️➡️ WAVES MV2: https://imp.i114863.net/XMmmb
The Waves MV2 compression plug-in is unique in that it offers both high- and low-level compressors, giving you two ways to optimize your dynamics. MV2 also automatically applies dither, which compensates for digital quantization errors and guarantees a great-sounding signal.

➡️➡️ MCDSP ANALOG CHANNEL: https://imp.i114863.net/15AdvD
McDSP’s Analog Channel plug-in has made its way into countless recordings over the years, imbuing the unmistakable sound of high-end analog tape machines, tape, and channel amplifiers into projects of all kinds. The AC101 section plays the part of a top-notch digital preamp, giving you high headroom for excessive amounts of gain without unwanted distortion. Sweetwater’s studio engineers love how easy it is to dial in studio-worthy sounds using AC101, with a Drive control deciding where the audio should “sit” in the saturation/compression region and Attack and Release for tweaking the times of the distortion character. AC202 virtually transports your sound through an analog tape machine, with standard operating controls alongside adjustable settings for low-frequency roll-off, head bump, playback head types, tape formulations, and more. Version 7 introduces several optimizations to this powerful plug-in, with full support for Apple Silicon and the latest Intel processors, a high-definition user interface, over 1,500 studio-quality presets, zero-latency algorithms for seamless operation, and much more. Kick your recordings up more than a few notches with analog flavor courtesy of the McDSP Analog Channel plug-in!

➡️➡️ OEKSOUND SOOTHE 2: https://imp.i114863.net/JrPdM2
This dynamic resonance suppressor quickly identifies problematic frequencies and reduces them. What’s left is a more natural, pure-sounding audio that’s been “soothed” until it’s pleasing to the ear. The Soothe2 plug-in expands on the original with new in-depth options and a streamlined user interface. If you’re looking for a high-powered plug-in that takes only seconds to use, then you can’t go wrong with Soothe2 from Sweetwater!

➡️➡️ IZOTOPE RX: https://imp.i114863.net/oed6ko
Unwanted noise wreaks havoc on your recordings. That’s where iZotope RX Standard comes in. This indispensable tool has been dubbed the “photo editor of the audio world,” renowned for its ability to magically erase buzz, clicks, hiss, and more. With iZotope RX 9, RX ups the ante with a bevy of new features. Spectral Editor employs Audio Random Access (ARA) to put Spectral Repair directly inside of Apple Logic. Now you won’t need to leave your DAW to remove or repair noises in your dialog and instrument tracks. Revert/Restore enables you to roll back a selection to its previous or original unprocessed state. This makes fine-tuning over-processed sections of audio a breeze — a must-have option after applying blanket processing to long files. You also get an improved De-hum tool. Beyond that, you get the AI-assisted processing that RX is renowned for. iZotope RX 9 Standard is the most powerful version yet!

➡️➡️ SOUNDTOYS ECHOBOY: https://imp.i114863.net/BXLdvB
EchoBoy is one of the finest professional echo/delay plug-ins out there! It utilizes SoundToys most advanced rhythm technology to allow you to change the rhythm of your delays. True Groove rhythm technology gives EchoBoy Native’s delays a variable rhythm, which lets you create echoes that swing and jam along with the mix. Adjustable swing/shuffle and accent effects add a truly musical echo sound as well. You can tweak the feel control from “rushin” to “draggin,” so the echo hits right where it sounds best. EchoBoy offers a wide range of sounds and echo styles as well, including pristine digital delays, smooth prime-number delays, warm chorused echoes, tape emulation, and lo-fi delay effects. And with the flip of a switch, you can easily lock EchoBoy to the session tempo. You’ll be amazed by the range of cool and musical sounds you can create with this incredibly powerful delay tool.

➡️➡️ ANTARES AUTOTUNE: https://imp.i114863.net/x9Zj45
With Auto-Tune Pro, Antares’ industry-standard pitch and time correction plug-in has received a serious upgrade. For starters, the pitch correction software has gotten a facelift. Whether you’re diving into Auto-Tune Pro’s deep features or just scratching the surface, this streamlined interface makes it incredibly easy to use. Auto-Key is a huge time-saver, automatically detecting the key and scale of your project. If you’re feeling nostalgic, you’ll love Auto-Tune Pro’s Classic Mode — it gives you the “Auto-Tune 5 sound” used on numerous iconic pop recordings. Enjoy close integration with your DAW, thanks to Audio Random Access support. Beyond that, you can control Auto-Tune Pro’s key parameters in real-time with your MIDI controller

➡️➡️ CELEMONY MELODYNE: https://imp.i114863.net/vnd6J3
Melodyne has been at the top of the pitch- and time-correction game for a long time. Celemony first impressed the audio industry by discarding the stiff controls of other pitch correction programs and giving us time and pitch correction in a familiar piano roll format. Next, they refined their already powerful pitch correction engine to accommodate polyphonic audio. Melodyne 5 studio brings even more cutting-edge enhancements, such as Melodic and Percussive Pitched algorithms, musically weighted pitch analysis, the Fade Tool and Sibilant Tool, the Leveling Macro, and recallable search. Add to that ARA compatibility, and you get one of the most comprehensive pitch- and time-correction applications on the planet.

➡️➡️ EVENTIDE SPLIT EQ:
By separating your audio into Transient and Tonal streams, SplitEQ is effectively two EQs in one. Need to reduce the ring of a snare drum without sacrificing its chunky attack? Filter out the ring in the Tonal realm, while leaving the Transient stream untouched. Having trouble de-essing a vocal transparently? Reduce the offending frequencies in the Transient realm while using the Tonal processing for overall sweetening. Between having full control over Transient and Tonal elements, plus the ability to work in either left-right or mid-side modes, Sweetwater is sure you’ll be impressed with the amount of sonic control SplitEQ offers.

➡️➡️ SLATE DIGITAL EIOSIS: https://slatedigital.com/eiosis-e2deesser/
The Eiosis e2deesser can automatically detect sibilant frequencies that may be giving you trouble and allow you turn them down in the mix with zero fiddling. A successful marriage between form and function, it’s not only the most powerful sibilant processor ever designed, it’s also the easiest to use.
