Producing music is challenging, fun, and exciting but let’s be honest, sometimes daunting. It takes a mixture a incorporating musical talent with interpersonal communication. Music producers must be able to effectively communicate their ideas to the artist during each session. Some situations will require the producer to encourage and push the artist to give more or take the idea and refine it. Bassist Jackson Eppley is leading the pack of a growing and popular trend in the music industry. He has taken his experiences of being an accomplished bassist and producer and is now songwriting and composing original music for film and TV. Nashville is known as a songwriter’s town and Jackson has made his home there and left his mark in continuing this tradition. His achievements coupled with Nashville’s variety of music instruments has given this video an opportunity to explore an unfamiliar but highly recognizable instrument, the pedal steel guitar.
