Recording to Mixing – ‘Come Together’ by The Beatles

We recently saw the Tascam Model 24 in action with a recording performed by Unsung, a talented group of musicians with fantastic energy! In this recording session, the band decided to take on the classic Beatles tune “Come Together,” and the Tascam Model 24 was used to capture their version of the song.

Phil Allen is a talented producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist who has had a steep career trajectory in the music industry.

Throughout his career, Phil has worked with a variety of high-profile producers, writers, and artists. He has held positions as head engineer at Harmony Studios and Spitfire Studios, where he worked with the likes of Fraser T Smith, Dan Wilson, and Jack Douglas.

Phil’s engineering skills have been put to use on a number of hit songs for a diverse range of artists, including Daniel Powter, Adele, Aerosmith, P!nk, and Miley Cyrus. In 2012, he was awarded a Grammy for his work on Adele’s hit single “Someone Like You.”

Phil Allen is a master in his craft and his work has been recognized by the industry’s most prestigious awards, making him one of the most sought-after engineers in the industry today.

The Tascam Model 24 was amazing for recording the cover, as it captured the full range of the performers sound and incorporated a variety of different instrument tracks.

Phil goes through all the parts needed to get this rock track to where it needs to be.
