Great vocal production is foundational in making a song sound great! Modern music relies heavily on the vocal track being big, up front, and clear! The lead vocal track contains many of the emotional elements in a song and can be what ultimately connects the listener to the song.
As producers it is important to be able to accurately record the vocal, get a great performance from the vocalist and then comp, edit and tune the vocal so that it is ready for mixing.
