Hey everyone, today, I have the great honour to interview one of my musical heroes, Mr. Steve Porcaro!

If you haven’t heared of Steve this far, you might be shocked at how many of your favourite records he’s had a hand in!

Toto’s Keyboard Virtuoso:

Let’s kick things off with Toto, the band that became synonymous with musical excellence. Steve Porcaro, along with his brothers Jeff and Mike, co-founded Toto, a powerhouse that shaped the landscape of rock and pop. His contributions as a keyboard virtuoso added layers of sophistication to hits like “Africa,” “Rosanna,” and “Hold the Line,” and helped to make Toto’s sound timeless.

The Porcaro Touch in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”:

You know that iconic synth riff in Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature”? Yep, that’s the Porcaro touch. Steve played a crucial role as a session musician on MJ’s groundbreaking “Thriller” album, leaving an indelible mark on one of the best-selling albums of all time. His keyboard work on “Human Nature” is a testament to Porcaro’s ability to infuse soul into every note.

Film Scoring Galore:

Porcaro’s musical journey extended beyond the stage and studio to the silver screen. His venture into film scoring showcased a new facet of his talent. The haunting and atmospheric score for “The Running Man” is a prime example of his ability to create evocative soundscapes that enhance the cinematic experience.
