I recently had the opportunity to visit The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn for an exclusive tour of the world-renowned recording space. As a musician, I was beyond excited to see the studio in action and get a behind-the-scenes look at all of the amazing equipment and facilities.
But the best part of the tour for me was getting to see the old Neve 8058 console again. I used to record with this console all the time at The Bunker, and it was a trip down memory lane to see it again.
This vintage console, originally built in the 1970s, has been fully restored and updated to meet the needs of modern recording. It’s known for its warm, rich sound and has been used on a wide range of classic albums.
During our tour, we were able to see the Neve 8058 in action as we watched a live recording session. It was fascinating to see how the staff at The Bunker used the console to shape the sound of the music and bring the artist’s vision to life.
