The Waves Berzerk Distortion plugin has 10 different presets: Buzzed, Frenzy, Crushed, Trippy, Squashed, Loony, Dizzy, Freaky, Clipped, and Fuzzed. Each of these presets has its own personality, which will transform the sound by adding different grit, character, dirt, and other elements “that will blow your head off.” I already know that these presets are going to make my life so much easier!
As more people move towards doing more and more in-the-box – and not just mixing, but using virtual instruments as well – plugins like these are great tools to have!
