Today\u00a0I want to share a\u00a0studio monitor shootout I recently did with <span style=\"color: #1b70a6;\"><a style=\"color: #1b70a6;\" href=\"https:\/\/vintageking.com\/\">Vintage King<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">When looking for a new set of\u00a0studio monitors, testing, and reading reviews online, most of time you will find about 3-5 top contestants that would make good options.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So how can you tell which of these speakers are\u00a0the perfect fit for you?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">With this video, I want to try to help you to answer that question:\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I visit Vintage Kings showroom in L.A. and we test 5 different sets of speakers in the mid &#8211; high-end\u00a0segment. Each of these speakers have received great reviews and are go-to choices in this price range.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">As a reference, I&#8217;m using a record\u00a0I produced a while back, the song\u00a0&#8220;Stages&#8221; by Vedera. The label had 3 of the greatest mixers of all time mix this song: Mark Endert, Spike Stent and\u00a0Serban Ghenea. I chose\u00a0this song, because I know it\u00a0inside out\u00a0and I also attended\u00a0Spike Stent&#8217;s mixing session, so I have a\u00a0really\u00a0good idea of what it sounds like.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In the\u00a0shootout producer\/mixer\u00a0Alex Oana and I\u00a0point out the different tonal characteristics of each of the speakers, their optimal use and benefits depending on the style of music you&#8217;re working in.
