And to be honest: You don&#8217;t have to! It&#8217;s absolutely possible to get great drum recordings in an home studio environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In fact, when I did the &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ypw1QVnuv74\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Fire And<\/span> <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Water<\/span><\/a>&#8216; duet with Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley, we tracked the drums in my tiny 15 x 9 feet home studio. I sent a mixed 2-track of the drums out to engineer\/producer Greg Collins (U2, Gwen Stefani, KISS), so he could cut Paul&#8217;s vocals to it. Greg instantly called me up and said: <em>&#8216;Wow these drums sound amazing, where did you cut them?&#8217;\u00a0<\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u2013 The answer he didn&#8217;t expect: In my home studio!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>I&#8217;m not telling you this story to brag, but to encourage you and show you that it&#8217;s absolutely possible to achieve great results in your home studio!\u00a0<\/strong><strong>In this video, I&#8217;m showing you my exact process: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I&#8217;m joined by our apprentice Alex from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.recordingconnection.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Recording<\/span> <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Connection<\/span><\/a>, who has been true a pleasure to work with!
