I post a new FAQ Friday video&#8230; every Friday! haha<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Let&#8217;s get to it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>I get this questions similar to this all the time:<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Do you use a plug-in to emulate analog summing or do you actually use analog summing?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It&#8217;s a really interesting question because DAW&#8217;s have come so far so quickly! It was late &#8217;90s to early mid 2000s and there wasn&#8217;t a single producer, engineer, or especially mixer that I knew that liked the sound of mixing in the box.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">They would all say &#8220;you can tell it was mixed in the box.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">So do I need to sum? &#8211; In the end it comes down to workflow. If you love the idea of brining audio through a console and on faders, and playing with it that way&#8230; then keep doing that!
