Pan Affected Source Opposite Of The Dry Source For More Stereo Width<\/h1>\n<p>These are tricks I use all the time. Even with only one guitar part you can create a lot of width with a simple combination of panning the guitar from close to the centre to the 100% left or right if there is an effected and slightly version of that same guitar panned opposite. Be careful to use a delay time that isn\u2019t going to ruin the groove and also isn\u2019t too short that it causes phase\/polarity issues. In an earlier video I used technique and also applied a small amount of pitch change, this can really help increase the width and avoid potential phase\/polarity cancellation.<\/p>\n<h1>2. Create &#8216;Ear Candy\u2019 and additional movement With FX and Panning<\/h1>\n<p>Taking a generic drum loop (even one that doesn\u2019t seem appropriate!) timing it to the track, panning elements left and right, removing low end and distorting it creates percussion that moves the song along and creates yet more ear candy! Your headphones will love it!<\/p>\n<h1>3.Create Excitement With Automating Panning On Harmonies<\/h1>\n<p>A exceptionally simple but effective technique to create more width and exaggerate choruses is to start with your BVs\/Harmonies narrow around your lead vocal then pan left and right for added excitement.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_raw_html]JTNDZGl2JTIwY2xhc3MlM0QlMjJfZm9ybV8xMTMlMjIlM0UlM0MlMkZkaXYlM0UlM0NzY3JpcHQlMjBzcmMlM0QlMjJodHRwcyUzQSUyRiUyRnByb2R1Y2VsaWtlYXByby5hY3RpdmVob3N0ZWQuY29tJTJGZiUyRmVtYmVkLnBocCUzRmlkJTNEMTEzJTIyJTIwdHlwZSUzRCUyMnRleHQlMkZqYXZhc2NyaXB0JTIyJTIwY2hhcnNldCUzRCUyMnV0Zi04JTIyJTNFJTNDJTJGc2NyaXB0JTNF[\/vc_raw_html][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\n<h1>4. Panning Cymbal FX For More Excitement<\/h1>\n<p>Reverse cymbals are an old trick, some of my favourite Queen tracks use it, \u2018Death on Two Legs\u2019 and \u2018Play The Game\u2019 in particular. Pan from one side to another, speeding up the pan at the very end adds urgency and exaggerates the effect leading to the chorus.<\/p>\n<h1>5. Using Panning To Differentiate A Section Of A Song<\/h1>\n<p>Sections where instruments drop out will leave a lot of room for creativity! Here I panned a single guitar hard left and right.
