Most of the time I\u2019m at spitfire Studios, but part of the time I\u2019m at <strong>Harmony Studios<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last few weeks, we have upgraded the whole setup at Harmony! So in today\u2019s episode, we\u2019re going to show you what we\u2019ve done and we the entire install process! &#8211; <strong>You can see exactly what went into this upgrade.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I, fortunately, was away for the first part of the install because it was the <strong>Audient 8024<\/strong> <strong>Console<\/strong>. -haha<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve worked on a lot of records here over the years as you know I\u2019ve worked on <strong>the Fray<\/strong>, I also did <strong>Kris Allen<\/strong>\u2019s first album after he won <strong>American Idol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I worked on the radio version of <strong>The Script<\/strong>\u2019s \u201c<strong>The Man Who Can\u2019t Be Moved<\/strong>\u201d. <strong>Miley Cyrus<\/strong> wrote <strong>Wreaking Ball<\/strong> and recorded all the basics here, and of course, <strong>Adele<\/strong> recorded \u201cS<strong>omeone Like You<\/strong>\u201d here.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of <strong>Fray<\/strong> stuff, lots of <strong>Sara Bareilles <\/strong>stuff, lots of fun alright <strong>Let\u2019s check out the studio!<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;43489&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The <strong>Audient ASP 8024<\/strong> is absolutely gorgeous, not only is it new, it\u2019s new-new new-new new. I just used it for the first time and it\u2019s marvellous so thank you Audient.<\/p>\n<p>We also have a pair of <strong>EVE SC307<\/strong>\u2019s and these are our choice for this room, they sound absolutely fantastic in here. We\u2019ve got the new <strong>McDSP APB16<\/strong> I just demoed it for the first time!<\/p>\n<p>All of our IO\u2019s are Apollo, we have a pair of <a href=\"https:\/\/u.audio\/apollox16-plap\"><strong>UAD Apollo X16<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s allowing us to get 24 in and 24 out. Obviously this 32 in and out so we will be able to send out to multi-effects and stuff. We\u2019ve got the full range of <a href=\"https:\/\/producelikeapro.com\/blog\/plugins-modeled-after-analog-gear\/\">UA Plugins<\/a> here, so when we do videos here you\u2019ll be able to see all of that stuff too.<\/p>\n<p>Our outboard is pretty comprehensive we have the <strong>Tube-Tech ME 1B &amp; PE1C<\/strong> absolutely gorgeous EQ, very excited to have this both of them are gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p>We have a <strong>Kemper Profiler<\/strong>, even though we have a live room we do have a Kemper. We have a <strong>UAD 1176 every studio should have one<\/strong>, a <strong>Teletronix LA-2A<\/strong>, a <strong>dbx160x<\/strong>, and a <strong>dbx 165A<\/strong> absolutely love this.<\/p>\n<p>And better still the <strong>Tube-Tech MP1A<\/strong> mic pre\u2019s these are absolutely gorgeous on piano and was used on the <strong>Adele<\/strong> song \u201c<strong>Someone Like You<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Daking Mic Pre II<\/strong> belongs to Glenn Fricker who also uses the studio with us and is beautiful, Daking Mic Pre\u2019s are amazing.<\/p>\n<p>We have a <strong>Phoenix Audio DRS-8<\/strong> which is what I always used to track drums through in this studio before we got the Audient console. It\u2019s a great unit the DRS-8 is wonderful for tracking drums and the mic pre\u2019s sound absolutely fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Aviom AN-16\/i<\/strong> is our headphone system and of course, at the bottom, we have the power supply for the Audient ASP console.<\/p>\n<p>Quick shoutout to <strong>REVV<\/strong> We have the <strong>Generator 100P<\/strong> which I\u2019m a big fan of also to <strong>Peavey<\/strong> we have their <strong>Invective 120<\/strong>. We have a lot of amp variations, we\u2019re going to do a spitfire tour soon and you\u2019ll see we have a ton of gear in there as well.<\/p>\n<p>In the live room, we have a couple of pianos in there the first is an old <strong>Baldwin upright<\/strong> very similar to the one that is over at spitfire studios, this one is probably a little higher quality, not quite as destroyed as my <strong>Hamilton<\/strong>, which is a student model. This is quite an old model, <strong>we have tuning dates going back to 1967.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main focus in the live room is the <strong>YAMAHA<\/strong> that \u201c<strong>Someone Like You<\/strong>\u201d was recorded on.
