This compressor is very famous, and has a truly iconic sound, and I am very excited to get to try out this new emulation.<\/p>\n<p>What I am going to do here is I am going to put the FG-2A on all the individual elements of a mix and see if I can use it as my main compressor. I did get to play around with this a little bit a few days ago, and what I do like about it so far is I think it has a better release time. I find that with the LA-2A, in its natural state, I can&#8217;t get too aggressive with it, because it doesn&#8217;t release fast enough.<\/p>\n<p>I also feel like this has two different extremes, which you will be able to see in the video below! The first is a kind of crushing effect, which we then paralleled and mixed back in so that we got some of the direct sound and some of this newly destroyed compression. It is a really unique sound!
