How does the SM58, a longtime favorite since 1966, stack up to the competition made almost thirty years later?<\/p>\n<h2>Sennheiser e835 vs Shure SM58: The Basic Differences<\/h2>\n<p>Both the Sennheiser <a href=\"https:\/\/imp.i114863.net\/P0m32e\">e835<\/a> and Shure <a href=\"https:\/\/imp.i114863.net\/a1rJRR\">SM58<\/a> are cardioid dynamic microphones suited for live vocal performance. The godfather of handheld vocal mics, the SM58, has a pronounced low-end rolloff before flattening out at 100 Hz, and a prominent midrange presence boost between 2 and 6 kHz. Generally, the Sennheiser sounds a bit better out of the box thanks to the wide low-end rolloff and the boosted highs.
