Gavin is testing the room&#8217;s response to see if what we have so far will work for our room.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/producelikeapro.com\/measuring-the-rooms-response-cheatsheet\"><strong>Download the Gear Used Cheatsheet here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Check out the gear used to test the room below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Omnidirectional Microphones <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/imp.i114863.net\/VyQQmM\">Earthworks M30<\/a><\/strong> is a FIRST-CLASS reference microphone. Use it with your audio-band measurement system to get honest results, so you can tune accordingly. The difference between the omnidirectional mic&#8217;s and regular mic&#8217;s is that the omnidirectional mic&#8217;s can find really high frequencies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/imp.i114863.net\/P0AAzN\"><strong>DBX RTA-M<\/strong><\/a> is a more affordable alternative to the Earthworks M30. The RTA-M is a real-time analyzer microphone for the DriveRack PA. Flat frequency response, super-accurate omnidirectional mic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Testing Sound (through a laptop)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/imp.i114863.net\/kjkk43\"><strong>Sound Devices USB Pre 2<\/strong><\/a> has a really low noise floor and is great for really low noise measurements. It is built really well, so it is also great for people who will need to travel with it. Borrowing the same award-winning microphone preamplifiers found on their 744T digital portable interface, the Sound Devices USBPre 2 provides one of the highest quality portable interfaces available for both Mac and Windows computers.
