Strictly in terms of size, it&#8217;s larger than the average nearfield by a pretty significant amount, ultimately placing it somewhere in between an oversized nearfield and midfield speaker. Because of that, they&#8217;re most at home in medium- and larger-sized rooms \u2014 ultimately with the professional\/commercial user in mind.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker consists of two 6&#8243; bass drivers, a 2&#8243; midrange driver, and a 1&#8243; tweeter. PMC housed all of this in a cabinet utilizing their proprietary Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) technology internally. ATL intelligently directs the flow of low frequency content for better extension, clarity, and balance across the entire spectrum at any volume. The work that went into designing the 6-2 included a bit of an overhaul of these, with the goal of improving an already great thing. The tweeter and midrange driver receive 400 watts a piece, and the dual low-frequency woofers each get 400 watts of their own.
