The\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"italic\">Anatomy of Sound<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0picks feature a bikini on one side and butt cheeks on the other. \u201cIt\u2019s like feeling a little butt cheek while you\u2019re playing the guitar,\u201d he says, laughing. \u201cThey actually help with grip, and the softer attack makes them feel like a ribbon mic compared to a plastic pick\u2019s condenser-like pluck.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<h3><span class=\"\">Guitars With History<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<p><span class=\"\">Jesse\u2019s guitar collection isn\u2019t enormous, but each piece is chosen with care.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"font-[700]\">1989 Clapton Strat<\/span><span class=\"\">: A hand-me-down from his dad, fitted with Sheptone \u201cGood Enough for Leo\u201d pickups wound to vintage pre-CBS specs. \u201cTall frets and high action\u2014that\u2019s my thing,\u201d Jesse says. \u201cI like to dig in.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"font-[700]\">1997 Telecaster<\/span><span class=\"\">: Once a Minnesota backline guitar, upgraded with Lindy Fralin Blues Specials. \u201cIt\u2019s the Brad Paisley sound,\u201d Jesse explains. \u201cSpanky and banky.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"font-[700]\">1979 Guild D50 Acoustic<\/span><span class=\"\">: A Rhode Island-built classic found on eBay with a collapsed top. Like anyone watching, I love doing this\u2014but I\u2019m never quite there.
