To reinforce this he also patched in one of the\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"font-[700]\">subwoofers used during the drum recordings<\/span><span class=\"\">allowing the subharmonic content to be physically felt as much as heard.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<p><span class=\"\">\u201cWhen you solo an instrument with it it\u2019s very noticeable\u201d Beinhorn explained \u201cbut when you hear it in the track you\u2019re never going to make that out. It just adds extra weight to it which is very nice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<p><span class=\"\">That statement sums up Beinhorn\u2019s production philosophy. His genius lies in\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"italic\">what you feel rather than what you hear.<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0By subtly layering a synthesized sub octave beneath Ben Shepherd\u2019s performance Beinhorn added an almost subconscious sense of mass. The result is a bass tone that doesn\u2019t just sit under the mix it\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"italic\">anchors<\/span><span class=\"\">\u00a0it tying together Matt Cameron\u2019s drums and Chris Cornell\u2019s towering vocal in one seismic pocket.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-main__content\" data-test-id=\"publishing-text-block\">\n<p><span class=\"\">It\u2019s a reminder that true production mastery isn\u2019t always about obvious tricks or flashy tones.
