While bass is only subconsciously perceived by the average listener, it is one of the most crucial parts of any production.
It glues the song together and ties in the rhythm section with the melody and harmony parts. And it provides the groove, fullness and wonderful low end energy that we all love!

I’m showing you how to record bass through a DI, as well as amp cabinet, and how you can blend both signals to feature the best of both worlds: A gritty midrange that cuts through the mix combined with a full-bodied low end.
