Today we have a very exciting video for you today! We recently had the opportunity to sit down the Zach Fisher from Big Bad Sound, and he gave us a tour of their incredible new space!
Big Bad Sound is a world-class studio in Los Angeles, and offers a full range of recording, mixing, mastering, and post-production services. Their goal is to fulfill their clients’ artistic vision and record professional sounding audio with the highest quality equipment in an inspiring environment.
The last time we were with Big Bad Sound, they were in a different space which they called “The House Studio”, as it was in a house! Over the past 3 years, though, they have been working on creating the gorgeous space they are in today. Their goal was to create a studio that had a “veteran” feel, so that people would be comfortable in it and feel like records had been made there – and some great ones have been now! Taking inspiration from classic and iconic studios like Sunset Sound and Henson Recording Studio, the team at Big Bad Sound have developed an incredible studio.
At the house studio, they did a lot more tracking than mixing and things like that, so in this new space they wanted to make sure they had a room where they could get some volume, drums, strings, and whatever else they needed in order to really get some loud things going! I took a minute to listen in their live room, and it sounded amazing!
In addition to their gorgeous studio space, Big Bad Sound has a great selection of instruments and gear for their clients to use in order to get the best sound possible. From a marvellous API Legacy console, to some amazing microphones like an original 1958 Neumann U-48, among other great microphones, and some fantastic guitars, Big Bad Sound has everything you need to create a great record.
