Lewitt LCT 640 TS

I’m sure you all know how much we love Lewitt mics here! In today’s video we are going to be showing you another great mic from Lewitt, and giving one away as well! The LCT 640 TS is a great mic, so make sure you enter below for your chance to win!

I was also lucky enough to demo this as United Recording with some amazing musicians and absolutely everything was recorded with this mic! We even did a version where we recorded the whole band with just one mic, and then one with a pair of mics. We also have all of those multitracks available for you to download today! The LCT 640 TS is a 1″ multi-pattern studio microphone that delivers full, crisp, yet well-balanced sound works on any source. You can use this mic for precise vocal and instrument recording, making it “the Swiss army knife of studio mics”. The LCT 640 TS works as a traditional multi-pattern microphone, a stereo microphone, and a mic that can change the polar pattern after the fact. This mic will make your vocals sound larger-than-life and your instruments full and vibrant.

The LCT 640 TS also features the revolutionary Dual Output Mode. This feature changes the way we think about the recording process. When you use it, you’ll send the front and the back of the capsule’s diaphragm to two individual outputs. This mode allows for perfectly-in-phase stereo recording with just this mic alone! Simply point the mic sideways to the source and adapt the stereo width in the mix. Every mic also undergoes a series of measurements followed by adjustment of polarization voltage to achieve the same sensitivity in every microphone, which is what Lewitt calls their “Perfect Match Technology”. If you add more LCT 640 TS microphones to your collection, you can use any two of this as a stereo pair.

With the Dual Output Mode activated, the LCT 640 TS also lets you set the polar pattern dynamically. You can change and fine-tune you material recorded via the Dual Output Mode and also choose between the five classic polar patterns that you usually find in a multi-pattern workhorse for studio recording, including: omni, wide caridoid, cardioid, supercardioid, and figure-8.

In addition, by combining this mic with Lewitt’s POLARIZER plugin, you can conveniently change and fine-tune your material recorded via Dual Output Mode. You can now add or subtract room sound in post-production during mixing.

This mic is small but mighty! It really is a must-have for any studio, so make sure you enter the giveaway and don’t forget to download the multitracks as well!
