Tegeler Headquarters Tour & Interview with Owner Michael Krusch

Tegeler Audio Tour-1

We have a very exciting video for you today!

We’re in Berlin with Michael Kursch, the owner of Tegeler Audio Maufaktur!

If you’ve been following us you know we’ve done a live stream with Michael which was a lot of fun, and of course we took a look at the marvellous Crème.

The Crème is essentially an SSL style BUS compressor with a Pultec style EQ. – Which strange enough is my preferred chain.

When Michael first told me about the Crème I thought it was cool that I could do a direct comparison and I did!

How Tegeler began.

When Michael was young, he would develop and construct synthesizer modules to expand the capabilities of his (now vastly outdated) home computer and analog drum machine.

As he got older he worked as a sound technician for several years. where his love of electronic development returned and he set about recreating classic hardware.
But imitation wasn’t enough for him. It was expanded and redeveloped, always accompanied by extensive listening tests in his own recording studio.

Following frequent requests from friends, colleagues from the studio and emails, he decided to offer his skills to others in the form of a company. – Tegeler Audio Manufaktur was born.

Tegeler is based in the north of Berlin, Tegel, not far from AEG’s Borsig locomotive factory.

All of Tegeler Audio Manufaktur’s devices are hand-manufactured from high-quality components that are carefully selected according to requirements. Tested in the workshop, testing space, and the neighboring studio under real-world production conditions.
