Scheps Omni Channel Review with Cameron Webb

Scheps Omni Channel Plugin Review

I’m excited because this is still relatively new plugin. It’s the Waves Andrew Scheps Omni Channel– there’s been loads of videos over the last two or three weeks of initial reactions, but we have someone who has actually used this on a mix, our good friend Cameron Webb!

Cameron just mixed a song in the box using the Scheps Omni Channel on a laptop!

The track is called “Sleep long Sleep Well” by the Mad Caddies! It’s a reggae cover of an Operation Ivy song featuring Amy and Josh from the Skins!

I haven’t used this plugin yet, so we’re going to let Cameron tell you a little bit about it!

“I plug it in, I start working on it. I love it! This thing’s awesome. It’s easy. It’s fast. It’s got distortion, EQ, DeEssers, Compression. It’s all right there and it’s easy to move around! The cool thing too, is that it’s easy to get creative with it. And that’s why I got so excited to tell you about this Warren!”

“Andrew is great at what he does, and this just goes how he spent care and effort to build this program.”

I like the fact that this plugin has 2 DeEssers! When I mix vocals, I DeEss multiple times, because I’ll boost EQ to make it brighter but then of course you bring up elements that you don’t want. I get a lot of people asking me why I use multiple DeEssers and here is a guy (Andrew Scheps) who put two DeEssers into one plugin!

What a marvellous plugin! Please watch the video below for the full review!
