Learn to Record and Mix Where Music History Was Made
Rockfield Studios sits in the rolling hills of Monmouthshire, Wales, and holds a unique place in music history.
This is where Queen tracked Bohemian Rhapsody, where Freddie Mercury played the Bösendorfer grand piano you’ll be using during the masterclass, and where countless legendary artists created albums that shaped modern music.
Founded in 1961, Rockfield began as a converted dairy farm before becoming the world’s first residential recording studio.
For more than six decades it has helped define the sound of rock, indie, pop, and electronic music.
The magic of Rockfield isn’t just the gear or the rooms.
It’s the atmosphere.
Artists come here to live, create, and immerse themselves in music, surrounded by countryside and free from distraction.
Now, for three days, you will do the same.
$2,250 per person for 3 Days
Albums and Artists That Defined Generations
Rockfield Studios has hosted an extraordinary list of artists and captured some of the most important albums in modern music.
During this masterclass you’ll be working in the same rooms where artists such as:
- Queen recorded Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, and Bohemian Rhapsody
- Rush tracked A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres
- Coldplay created Parachutes
- Oasis recorded Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?
- Iggy Pop made Lust for Life and The Idiot
- The Stone Roses created their seminal debut and Second Coming
- Royal Blood recorded their explosive debut album
Black Sabbath, Robert Plant, Simple Minds, The Charlatans, Manic Street Preachers, and Kasabian have also all recorded here.
This studio isn’t just a place.
It’s a living piece of music history.
And for three days, it becomes your creative environment.

A Deep, Immersive Creative Experience
This masterclass is about far more than learning techniques.
It’s about being part of a creative community for three days.
Rockfield was designed as a residential studio where artists live and work together while making records. That spirit of immersion is what makes the experience so special.
You won’t attend sessions and then disappear back to a hotel room.
You’ll be living, learning, and hanging out together.
Over the three days we will:
Record together
Produce together
Mix together
Share meals together
Listen to music together
Exchange ideas and experiences
And throughout the entire event you will have direct access to me, Warren Huart, not just during sessions but throughout the day and evening.
That means:
Casual conversations over breakfast
One-on-one questions between sessions
Late-night playback discussions
Career advice and creative insights
This kind of access simply doesn’t exist at most workshops.
It’s a small group of passionate creators spending time together inside one of the most inspiring studios in the world.

What Previous Attendees think
Rockfield Studios is an extraordinary place, full of musical history and creative energy. Knowing that so many iconic recordings were made there, and that new music is still being created every day, makes the experience even more special. Being able to stay on site for the entire Masterclass is a real privilege, especially with meals and everything you need close at hand, from fresh coffee to a comforting cup of tea whenever you want one. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure our time there is outstanding. I also love the Welsh countryside, starting the day with a peaceful morning walk, surrounded by fresh air and farm sounds, is the perfect way to set the tone for a great day of music and learning.
The Rockfield Master Class organized by Produce Like A Pro was an incredible opportunity not only to spend time inside the legendary studio and hear its history firsthand from Kingsley, his wife, daughters, and the in-house engineer. but also to learn directly from Warren, Jack (Rockfield’s engineer), and the band Tom Auton. The sessions offered real insight into communication, production choices, and tracking decisions, along with the added benefit of networking and collaborating with like-minded professionals from across Europe and the US. It’s an experience I’ll never forget, and I’ve come away with valuable knowledge and lasting friendships. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about gaining studio experience and building meaningful industry connections.
It felt to me like a gathering of friends in a relaxed atmosphere, together enjoying this unique venue, the genuine hospitality provided by the lovely team at Rockfield, and of course the opportunity to actively participate in all steps of the music production process, and to learn from Warren and from each other.
