YOU GOT QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS.

What if I can’t tell if my vocal is the best it can be?
If anything, the earlier you are in your journey, and the further your vocal recordings and mixes are from a pro standard… the bigger the improvement you’re going to see.

Equally, if your vocal recorfding is 90% of the way there, and you’ve been searching for that last 10% – objective analysis will help you figure out exactly what’s missing.

My room isn’t acoustically treated, does that matter?

Having a good room will certainly help you identify what’s wrong with your recording and mixing. That’s why inside of our program we have an acoustical engineer, Gavin Haverstick.

But just like training your ears, there are stages to this process. You don’t need a perfect room to significantly improve your mixes. A good quality pair of headphones will be enough to get you great results regardless of the quality of your room.

Can’t I just figure this out on my own?
Absolutely – many successful producers and mixers are self taught – but why wouldn’t you take the short cut? Our mentors have many years of experience to help speed up your learning and avoid you agonising over the things that don’t matter.

Is this for a specific genre or type of music?

No, the concepts you’ll learn apply to all genres of music.

It’s crucial to focus on mastering the SCIENTIFIC aspects of music production. Once you understand these, you’ll have the foundation to create any genre or style of music.

What DAW are you going to use?

It doesn’t make a difference which DAW you use—the techniques are the same across all of them. You’ll be able to follow along no matter which DAW you’re working with.

Am I going to need a bunch of expensive software/plugins to see results?

Better gear can definitely be beneficial, but the first priority is to develop your knowledge and skills.

Once you’ve done that, you can consider upgrading your gear. This approach ensures that you’re able to use the new equipment to its full potential, rather than having expensive gear that you don’t fully use.
