Hey Friends, I hope you’re doing marvellously well! Today we’re getting into the third chapter of our Mixing Pop/Rock series:
Mixing Guitars, Keys, Synths, and Strings
If you haven’t yet, please make sure to download the multitracks of this song for free. You can mix the song for yourself and use it in your resume to show off your skills and attract new clients to your studio.
In today’s video, I’m discussing the production and arrangement choices I made, how to EQ and add width to your electric guitars, and how to help multiple layers of instruments work well together in the mix. So let’s get right to it:
Have you missed our previous two videos? You can watch them here:
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Please leave a ton of comments and questions below and let’s have a great discussion about the song and the mixing techniques you used to mix it. I always learn a lot from you guys!
Once you’ve finished your mix, please post it to the Produce Like A Pro Facebook page and tag Little Empire, so they can listen to your mix and comment as well. We’re looking forward to hearing your mixes!
Have a marvellous time recording and mixing,
Warren
