The Audient iD4 interface is a compact and robust and super easy-to-use USB interface, which makes it an ideal solution to take on the road. With it’s simple plug and play setup, it allows you to capture your creative moments whenever and wherever they come: At your friend’s house, in a hotel room, or if you just want to quickly capture a song idea that pops into your head at home.
The iD4 features the same Class-A mic pres that you will find in any of Audient’s upper-class interfaces and consoles. Paired with the high-quality AD-DA converters and 24Bit/96kHz resolution, the iD4 lets you capture even the slightest details of your sound – no matter which instruments you record.
My personal favourite? The iD4 has two headphone outs built in! This is an amazing feature that even a lot of the more expansive interfaces don’t include. It will allow you to record two instruments at once, or do shared mixing sessions if you don’t have speakers available on the road. – Marvellous!
The interface also allows to easily switch between the direct sound and the sound coming from your DAW, which lets you record latency free and switch right back to the final mix or treated sound from your DAW.
I was really impressed with the ease of use of this interface. You just plug it in and start recording right away without having to worry about technicalities. – Which in my opinion is one of the most important things in audio.
