The AudioScape XL-305R has its roots in the all analog XL-305 Spring Reverb from the early 1980’s. Unlike many spring reverbs, this Spring Assembly has 12 individual springs tuned together making it equally tempered, very similar to opening the lid of a piano, holding the damper open and singing into the strings.
Today’s a very exciting day for AudioScape because they’ve announced their very first plugin – a digital recreation of the XL-305R giving you an opportunity for the sound of AudioScape in you productions on any mix without the hardware.
This is a dual plugin, it features the original XL-305 and the reimagined XL-305R. They are dramatically different as the plugin will show. The 305R has longer decays and is a little more lush, but the original is still quite useful when you want the shorter decay time and to beef up tracks as a doubler etc.
We’re very excited to see what you will be doing with this plugin.
