Bring old school magic to your recordings! | Soyuz Launcher Demo

Soyuz Launcher

We have something very exciting to try out today: the Soyuz Launcher! The team at Soyuz has spent the last few years developing and experimenting in order to develop what they believe is their unique sound, and they have put that into the Launcher. Soyuz says that this little box can bring old school magic to your recordings.

We also get to give one of these wonderful Analogue Launchers away! Enter below for your chance to win!

The Launcher is not meant to be transparent and clean like other gain boosters on the market. The Launcher will help you to get the sound of a vintage analogue console, even if your mics are plugged into a simple interface or PA system. Getting that vintage sound is no longer a fantasy with the Soyuz Launcher!

The Launcher adds a unique character and color that will bring the sound of your recordings to the next level. With its custom hand-wound transformer, the Launcher’s warm character will chance the way you look at dynamic and ribbon microphones forever.

In order to test out the Launcher, we are going to write and record a song from scratch today! We will be testing the Launcher with 3 different mics: the Shure SM7b, SM57, and the Royer R-10. As we record, we will be using a y-cable, so the signal can be split. On side will go directly into our ID44 mic pre, and the other will have the Launcher between it and the mic pre so that you can hear exactly how these recordings sound with and without the Launcher.

You can also download the multitracks for the song we recording with the Soyuz Launcher so you can hear the difference for yourself! Click here to download the multitracks!
