Chris Cornell’s death hit me incredibly hard today.
Many of us grow up unable to communicate our feelings, music becomes a huge outlet for us, a way to feel connected to each other.
Chris had real pain in his voice, from the first time I heard him sing I could feel that connection to the Blues, to Soul. He showed us what was in his heart, there was beauty and majesty in what he did.
I started Produce Like A Pro because my journey was from the outside in, I didn’t go to School for this, I was just a kid who obsessed about music, it kept me sane, it gave me everything I have.
Music is a Universal language, at it’s best it heals us, it’s brings us together.
Chris, like Kurt Cobain communicated emotions and feelings so uniquely, so HONESTLY!
I hope we can come together and look around at each other and learn how to be supportive of each other in our journeys.
I shot a video to pay my last respects to Chris and say goodbye:
Have a marvellous time recording and mixing,
Warren
Nicely said Warren – you are obviously very moved by his death so look after YOUR self. A death is never easy but when it is someone in the same ball park age-wise (I think we are similar ages) it becomes even more poignant. Sad sad sad.Man what a voice !
Cheers
C
Hi Craig @plap-disqus-8613985ec49eb8f757ae6439e879bb2a:disqus, it’s really important to me that we look after each other! Talented people are very often quite fragile, they open their hearts up to the world and it is up to us to be supportive of them and each other! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
