Hi Friends,
I hope you´re doing marvellously well! Today, I want to share a tutorial by Matt Starr:
Matt will teach you how to create clean and impactful samples from your drum kit, so you can fix inconsistent hits and enhance your drum sound while maintaining the character of your kit.
Here´s the cool part: We´re also giving away the custom samples Matt recorded with his kit for free!
Check out the tutorial and download the samples here:
There are only 5 days left to pick up Matt´s course “Producing and Recording Drums with Matt Starr” at the introductory price and participate in our launch giveaway! So if you´ve been thinking about picking up the course, act fast.
I hope you´ve enjoyed the tutorial.
Have a mavellous time recording and mixing,
Warren
Another wonderful video Warren. Thank You Matt Star, and Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone.
Thanks @martin_weeks:disqus! Happy thanksgiving to you too my friend! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Thank you Warren & Matt. Cheers for the samples, but they are no where near as important as the Drummer, without whom we would have never hav terms such as, “The Bonham Sound” “Looney Moon Style” “Get it Paicey” and in the case of Matt “do it like the Starr”. Drum machines, programmed drums and samples are part and parcel of our daily music, they are as exciting as a wet ragg to rehearse with, they have no empathy to humor and being human, give me a bad drummer any day, at least they conjur emotion, the emotion of frustration when the drummer does not keep time or sync on an accent, and the sheer excitement when they lock the band into a groove. Real music is played by real musicians, even if it is through a sequencer. I prefer a drummer thats real even if he or she is playing an electronic kit or just banging on pots and pans. ‘Long Live the Percussionist’
Haha @plap-disqus-43ec517d68b6edd3015b3edc9a11367b:disqus! I agree 100%! Of course there’s no substitute for a real musician, especially one as talented as Matt Starr! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
