I’ve got some exciting news to share with you today straight from the incredible team at Wampler Pedals. They’ve taken two of their most iconic pedals – the Wampler Terraform Multi Modulation and the Metaverse Multi Delay – and brought them into the digital realm in a whole new way. That’s right! Updated versions of the Metaverse plugin and the all-new Terraform plugin are officially here, and they are fantastic guitar based plugins that also work on so much more. Check out the video to see Joe Carrell and myself taking both plugins for a spin to see how they really sound – I promise you won’t be disappointed!
When Wampler first released the Terraform back around 2019, it was a massive leap into the unknown for them as it was their first venture into DSP and MIDI control. It quickly became a go-to for players everywhere. Fast-forward to 2022, and they introduced the Metaverse, adding even more creative firepower to pedalboards. These pedals didn’t just stand out for their killer sounds – they were the foundation for something even bigger: software versions created with the same code as the hardware. The result? Well check out my latest video and see for yourself – they are incredible value for money!
Today, I’m thrilled to announce I got a sneak peak of the next evolution! With version 1.1 of the Metaverse plugin and the brand-new Terraform plugin, Wampler is pushing the boundaries and opening up a world of new creative opportunities for anyone using these tools in the studio. And here’s the best part—if you purchase either the Wampler Metaverse or Wampler Terraform pedal, you get the plugins for free. That’s right. All you need to do is register your product warranty, and you’ll be able to download the software at no additional cost. You can also benefit from a 50% discount from the usual retail price of $49.99 when you sign up to their plugin mailing list here.
What’s New with the plugins?
Wampler listened to the feedback from their passionate community and made some significant improvements. One of the most exciting updates is that now, there’s no need for separate plugins for each effect. Both the Metaverse and Terraform plugins give you a streamlined interface where you can select your favourite sounds with ease – either through a drop-down menu or the rotary selector in Pedal Mode. For those of us who love the tactile feel of working with pedals, this mode is going to feel like home. You’ll get all the flexibility of the software, with the same familiar experience as the hardware. It even has the tap tempo and LED indicators, just like the real deal!
.AAX Compatibility for Pro Tools Users
But that’s not all. A huge leap forward is the addition of .AAX compatibility, meaning you can now use these plugins in Pro Tools. This is massive news for producers working in the DAW space, and I can’t wait for you to see some upcoming demos from myself, Joe Carrell, and Matt Weiss over at Produce Like A Pro. We’ve been putting these plugins through their paces, and let me tell you – the results are pretty mind-blowing. Whether you’re adding these effects to guitars, vocals, or synths, the possibilities are endless.
Two Modes, One Unified Experience
Both plugins come with two selectable modes – Rack Mode and Pedal Mode. Rack Mode offers a more compact, studio-friendly interface, while Pedal Mode gives you that tactile experience we all know and love. With just a few clicks, you can scroll through the 11 delay algorithms in the Metaverse or the 11 modulation effects in the Terraform to dial in the perfect sound for your mix. You’ll also be able to sync everything up with your DAW’s tempo or manually tap in the beat, with all kinds of subdivisions for creating unique rhythmic effects.

Let’s Talk Effects
The Metaverse features 11 hand-picked delay algorithms designed by Brian Wampler. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll get:
- ANLG: Classic analog delay, inspired by the iconic Boss units from the 1980s
- WET: Modulated analog delay for a rich, textured sound.
- BBD: Bucket Brigade Delay, reminiscent of the warm tones from Electro-Harmonix units of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
- JET: Analog delay with a flanger, for a unique, swirling effect.
- DOC: The Doctor—ideal for adding modulation to vocals.
- FTE: Faux Tape Echo, capturing the essence of early tape delays with subtle modulation.
- ETH: Ethereal delay, a favorite of Warren’s, offering extra subdivisions for layered, atmospheric effects.
- MOD: A digital delay paired with a flanger for a clean, modern sound.
- SPC: Space Echo-style delay for lush, ambient textures.
- TAPE: Classic tape delay sounds from the Echoplex/Echorec era.
The Terraform is like the Swiss Army knife of modulation effects. Here’s what it includes:
- AWAH and ENVE: Autowah and envelope filter, perfect for adding movement and funk to your tracks.
- FLNG: A rich, classic flanger that nails the vintage sound.
- PHAS: A warm, early-‘70s-style “Orange Box” phaser, perfect for guitar or other instruments.
- U.VIB: A deep, lush Univibe-style modulation.
- RTRY: A Leslie rotary speaker emulation with control over horn rates for a true spinning speaker effect.
- SWEL: Auto swell for smooth, violin-like dynamics.
- TREM and HARM: Classic tremolo and harmonic tremolo effects.
- CHOR and DIME: Chorus and Dimension Chorus for lush, spatial sounds.
Whether you’re a guitarist looking to expand your sonic palette or a producer seeking high-quality modulation and delay effects, these plugins deliver an incredible range of sounds, all with the ease and familiarity of the Wampler pedals you love.
Each one is dialed in perfectly to bring that analog warmth into the digital world.
